Sekhmet Legends- The First ScrollA Story by AWickedMoonWell that turned out way more uh...darker then I intended.
Sekhmets Legends -Burdens [The Sekhmet legends were a set of lost papyrus scrolls thought to be written by one of Sekhmet’s close followers] Two goddesses walked through the sandstone hallways. The tallest goddess’s face was adorned with the face of a lion made of painted solid gold. “Are you sure you can exist with this decision?” The taller goddess asked. “I have to; I have given my words to another I cannot take them back.” The other women said with a slight sadness. “Your words are to someone who no long exists on this plain, their words no long are held.” The first women growled as she turned her head to the right in confusion in likeness of a cat. “Sekhmet please we must do this, it was his last wish.” The other women’s dark face was smooth not a single imperfection. Upon her head she wore a crown of two black ox horns, and placed delicately in the middle was a red orb. They both wore the same dress except this women’s was white, whereas Sekhmets was red. “Yet he could not even ask you himself! My sister I will help you but you must see our daughter will be made of me as well. You will never be able to trust her.” She said. Enough! I have made my decision it is yours that has yet to be said.” She yelled swiping her arm across the air signifying the end of the conversation. They turned into a smaller room; two chairs and a table sat on the back sandstone wall, animal hides had been draped over the large table. One was that of a lioness, positioned beside it a flaming red Iris. The other was that of a cow it too had a flower placed beside it; a beautiful white lotus. The unmasked goddess walked over to the cowhide and gently ran her fingers along it till they touched the lotus. She turned her head and sent a soundless question to Sekhmet. Sekhmet replied with a nod and walked over to pick up the now blood red Iris with her right hand. The second goddess softly grasped the white lotus matching Skemet and walked to the middle of the room. Sekhmet followed and crossed her right arm with the second goddess’s. They both sent a soft breath on to their flowers. Sekhmet’s breath flickered with tiny flames well the other goddesses’ sparkled with tiny stars. The first goddesses eyes were the color of the night sky with stars stitched in, Sekhmets were a light brown, but there was a deep red flame that seemed to dance within them. Quickly two golden daggers appeared in both of their left hands. Keeping their right arms together in sync they pressed the knifes into each others side, retrieving pieces of each other’s flesh, muscle and organs. They dropped the pieces in the small space between them, and slit their own wrists that were holding the flowers. As the blood dripped down and seeped into the flesh they spoke as one. “الافراج عن هذا الج™ء حتى يتسنى لنا شكل اخر يكون قلبها متصل إلي أن حورس” Then they stood, waited for days not a single noise escaped their lips. Watching as the body started to grow. Many days had passed before they started to grow weary. But they continued to wait it was just few more hours she would be finished. When the hours had passed a young woman knelt on her knees with her palms on the ground, keeping her head bowed. “My deity I am here to serve” she said her voice strong. “You are not meant to live in this place you are merely made from us; you shall take a mortal name. You shall be Asenath.” The second goddess stated. “She is meant for more than just to be a daughter. Her name should show her what she is meant to do she shall be Xantara. Protector of the mortals world, now look up child.” Sekhmet said. Xantara looked up revealing one brown eye with flecks of red and one eye blue lit with stars. “I am Xantara” She whispered.
