War's Land

For a contest about the military

As he walks across blood stain sand,

“No one should ever see this land”

As his face falls he looks at them,

“The bodies up to my knees”

As he paces past the machines,

“Oh a simple war machine”

As he steps out of his dream he steps into his coffin,

“But oh the lives that will live.”
