The Bottom Of The Sea

A poem about love that fails

 

Sitting here so lonely, I can feel my tears

 

In the dark I sit listening, To the echo's in my heart

 

Yesterday is slipping far away, Our dreams of better things

 

Fading fast into the dead of night, Is this really good bye?

 

Once raging fires inside, Slowly has turned to dust

 

Our passion filled kisses, That lasted into the depths of night

 

Now are in very short supply, We once felt on top of the world

 

Now it seems I'm cold and all alone, Our once happy and joyous home

 

Now a battle ground of fears & tears, In your eyes I see no pride 

 

No love. Tears are falling down like rain, Into the sea of love gone bad

 

I keep trying to tell myself, It all will work out just fine. All we need is

 

some more time, But as this night wears on I am afraid it's true, our

 

love has sunk to the bottom of the dead sea of love
