Up NorthA Poem by Avery Asha poem that describes what used to be one of my favorite places in the world. until my grandpa died, & i had to read it at his funeral. :(Up North, Where the cattails grow, And the blind dogs go Run free. Up North, Where the trees are tall, And the acorns fall To me. Up North, Where the people wish, And there they fish All day. Up North, Where the lake is cool, We don’t need no pool To play. Up North, Where it snows and snows, And no one knows When it’ll stop. Up North, Where the food is great. We’ll eat ‘til late Or ‘til we pop. Up North, Where the family gives. Christmas spirit lives Always. Up North, I love a lot. I never forgot Those days. I’ll be there tomorrow. No shame or sorrow. Just glee. © 2008 Avery AshAuthor's Note
