"Walls & Mirrors"A Poem by Luna
Tell me what you see
oh looking glass man, do you see beauty? Do you see soft lips and ample hips, or smooth skin to wrap your hands in? Do you see eyes like the moor, dark and even a shade alluring? Tell me what you see oh looking glass man, do you see poetry? Words that which my lips produce, like a solid breath, or a lettered touch, flowing
like silk into your ears?
Tell me what you see
oh looking glass man,
do you see a strand of hope?
A small stitch of a place you
could call your own,
a place for you within me?
Oh looking glass man,
I'll tell you what I see.
I see a time that came and went,
of endless sunny "hopefuls" and
nights with feathered dreams, of
drapes of emotions washing the
halls and walls of the space I
haunted.
I see an old smile creeping at the
corner of my lips, weary and weak
from lack of use.
And it tells you, quite simply to...
close-your-eyes,
for-all-it's-worth.
