People often ask me

Why I write the words I do

Did I live out every word

Or are most of them untrue

.

I turn and say to them

Please let me explain

I'll tell you a little story

Don't think that I'm insane

.

Yes I was on that mountain

Looking for God one summers day

I just could not find him

So I didn't want to stay

.

Is there tarnished on my armor

That only others can decide

Do I have a unicorn

Well, your already on the ride

.

Have I ever slayed a dragon

Well think I’ve slain a few

Isn’t that what Tarnished Knights

Are really supposed to do

.

Did have a sailing ship

That was named after me

Was it was named Adonis

Why don’t you look and see

.　

Did I ever have a love

With hair of flaming red

Better here not to say

For she is now about to wed

.

Did I love a pretty blonde

Who had Texas drawl

Did she come from Dallas

Or was it Huston after all.

.

Did I leave my heart

No, not on Frisco Bay

Was it on the East Coast

That I shall never say.

.　

Did I shed some tears

When leaving on that plane

Did I blame it on the jester

Or did I have myself to blame

.

Then there was the bistro

Were to meet my lady fair

Go and try and find it

Tell me if it’s there.

.

Have I broke some hearts

Have I had it done to me

If you read between my lines

I am sure that you will see

.

So you see my friend
