SHE CHOSE ME

SHE CHOSE ME

A Poem by DONALD EISSLER
"

SHE DID !!

"

Oh she had the reddest hair

With eyes of emerald green.

Skin, fresh like a morning snow.

That’s seen only in ones dream

.

Love seemed in the air

On that winters day.

Air was cold and crisp

She asked if I would stay.

.

“I have a fire burning”

She said with much desire.

“If I would say I wasn’t

Lord knows I’d be a lair.

.

Stayed with her that winters eve.

Our loves nectar we did share.

Morning came way to soon

But had a freshness in the air.

.

Said “good bye, that I’d be back

If that is what you choose”

She just smile and said to me

“That’s an offer I can’t refuse.”
