DEAL THE CARDS THE DEVIL SAID ( the saga continues)

It was a dark blustery night

When the devil came to call.

Said “ I came to play a game tonight

And I came to win it all.”

.

“Is it you who challenge me

To a game you can not win?

Seemed that you lost before.”

He said without chagrin.

.

“The cards are on the table,

I’ll even let you deal.

For I know when its over

Before me you will kneel”

.

“Think not oh evil one,

A surprise I have for you.

Your not playing one

For you are playing two.”

.

He laughed and said to me:

“What difference does that make ?

You have so little faith at all

I’ll shall prove that you’re a fake.”

.

I turned my head to look for Him

He was nowhere near in sight

Now I’m thinking what the devil said

Just maybe he was right.

.

Did He up and leave me ?

Or is this just a test .

Is my faith as what I say

Or maybe I’m not blessed.

.

Now my hands are shaking

As the cards are past to me.

Is my faith still strong enough

To let my soul be free ??

.

“Deal the cards” the devil said

For I have no time to wait .

There our others waiting

For with them I have a date.”

.

"5 card stud is what we play

One hand ,winner takes it all.

If you should lose, which you will

To me, the devil, you shall fall."
