BEWARE OF THE JESTER

BEWARE OF THE JESTER

A Poem by DONALD EISSLER
"

BEWARE OF SMILING JESTERS

"

Beware of the Jester
I think I need my unicorn
To take me away to fly.
I need another dream,
As my other went awry.
.
Dreams are very special
They can seem to come alive,
But like a pretty flower
In cold they don`t surviv.e
.
You must be very careful
If living out your dreams,
For what you think is real
Is not always what it seems.
.
Beware of a smiling Jester
He may be the infernal king.
Faking love and happiness
With a smile he does bring.
.
So if you see that Jester
Better wake up really quick.
Don´t let him fool you
That smile could be a trick.
.
He can make you comfortable
By being oh so very kind.
But you wake up one morning
Finding he had made you blind
.
So if you rode your unicorn
Better saddle him and fly.
Don`t take any chances.
Don´t even say good-bye
.
For that Jester has a way
To draw you right back in.
That warming joyful smile
It´s a smirk, its not a grin.
