![]() IF I COULD PAINT PICTUREA Poem by DONALD EISSLER![]() READ AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY![]() Van Gogh painted a picture Of a psychedelic Starry Night Munch had a screaming head Running away in fright Shakespeare wrote of Romeo And his love for Juliet How it ended in tragedy This we shan’t forget Plato wrote of a magic place Atlantis was it name He never really saw it But believed it just the same If I could paint a picture It would be of you instead This would be a masterpiece With your hair of auburn red . I do not need a Van Gogh For you are my Starry Night The moon would be smiling down Not trying to run away in fright . And the love I have for you Would not end in tragedy But go on forever Right through eternity . The magic place I'd write about Is right here in my heart There will be no more make believe It's where my love will start . So let me paint that picture With me right by your side For I want the world to know My love for you is bona fided © 2011 DONALD EISSLERReviews
