MY SHIP CALLED RELATIONA Poem by DONALD EISSLERJUST A TWISTED LOOK AT REALTIONSHIPS FROM A TARNISHED POINT OF VIEWThere is a ship that we all know It flies the flag of every nation Never sails or leaves it's port For that ship is named“relation” Maybe toast it with some wine Laughs smiles and words of love Seem to occupy ones time Let's see if it will float Has a few minor leaks That's something one should note Time is drawing near Patched up those minor leaks There's nothing now fear The visibility is clear But the barometer is falling A storm is drawing near Waves crash across it's bow I want to save “Relation.” But I really don't how Now were dead at sea Have to cast the life rafts To save my sanity Slowly slips below a wave Tears fall from my eyes As it sinks to its water grave This ship has taught me something To carry a lifeboat when I go For if “Relation” starts A sinkin You better damn know how to row.!
