THE VERBAL CONFRONTATION

THE VERBAL CONFRONTATION

A Poem by DONALD EISSLER
"

Part three of Temper saga the verbal confrontaion between the tempter and the Lords Warrior Bride

"
The Tempter got very angry
When rejected by His Warrior Bride
So he slipped back into Hades
But he wasn't there to hide.

There was a terrible rumble
Fire came strewing up from earth,
Even His Warrior Bride
Thought hell was giving birth!

Then a voice was heard
Came from the depths of hell.
"I will make you pay
If my advances you repel."

His Warrior Bride stood steady
Spoke with a sword still in hand.
"I was sent by the Lord
To banish you from His land."

"You are such a fool."
Spoke the tempter from his lair.
"I can give anything you want,
I am a jealousy concessionaire."

His Warrior Bride never flinched.
Said, as she slowly shook her head.
“He gives us eternal life,
You just take their souls instead."

"I give them what they ask for."
Said the tempter with a smirk.
"Then I can take their souls,
That’s just the way It works."

"Well I'm here to tell you
That you better go and hide.
You'll take no more souls" she said
"While I'm His Warrior Bride."

The tempter rolled back his head
Then came out a mighty roar
Like a thousand screaming souls
Saying there is going to be a war..

Story through a poem...like Beowulf...a classic epic of good and evil. I hope good wins! Intriguing...

Another lovely read though with touches of mystery that pull me in for a closer look.

Very good Don, The Warrior Bride has my vote. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Luke 10: 19

This is getting more and more interesting the whole tempter and warrior bride story. Like how you tell it. The tempter is jealous though :)

This is great! I love this "you'll take no more souls" she said "while i'm His warrior Bride" I'm cheering on the warrior Bride. Im not really a fan of rhyme but it is appropriate here. It helps by drawing the reader in. Nice work, please send me the continuation.
