YOUR KISS WAS THE FIRES COAL

YOUR KISS WAS THE FIRES COAL

A Poem by DONALD EISSLER
"

HOT AS FIRE

"

YOUR KISS WAS THE FIRES COAL

Once the flame was burning.

It so strong and bright.

Could not stop the passion

It flowed through out the night.

Your touch roared a fire,

Your kiss was its fuel.

Was never an exception ,

Was always just the rule.

Your warmth radiated

From night until the dawn.

Now when I reach for you,

Your there but you are gone.

Seems like your body

Responds to me no more.

When I try and touch you

You seem to close the door.

The fire hence has turned

To dying embers and to ash.

Seems a rain storm hath cometh

And fire and water always clash.

There is another fire

You seem to want to lite.

It's just not my fire

You wish to lite tonight.

I'd like to say I love you.

But those words I cannot say.

Even though a tear will fall

As I watch you walk away.

Find what your looking for,

And light a fire in ones soul.

For I shall always remember.

Your kiss, was the fire's coal.

Could it have been too much passion and not enough loving. Good read.

The cruel ways of falling out of love. No spark no love. It just 'POOF' went.
But you still remember what it was like before the love died down.
