SITTING IN PENELOPES GARDEN

SITTING IN PENELOPES GARDEN

A Poem by DONALD EISSLER
"

Thinking in Penelopes Garden

"

Sitting in Penelope’s garden
With fire flies all aglow,
Sitting in Penelope’s garden
Just watching the flowers grow.

Sitting on a porch swing
That was built for two,
Sitting on a porch swing
Holding hands with you

The moon is saying something
With it's moonbeams from above.
The moon is saying something
“I think that you’re in love”

Your eyes have a twinkle
As I steal a kiss.
Your eyes have a twinkle
That I couldn't miss.

Sitting in Penelope’s garden
On a porch swing built for two.
Sitting in Penelope’s garden
Thinking of making love to you

I did not find it silly. It was profound as it was fresh, cute and really a perfect setting.
