ILLUSIONS IN A CLOUD

Looked outside it was cloudy ,

Clouds where only in my mind.

Sun was shinning brightly,

An illusion I wish to leave behind.

So many things seem different,

When hidden behind a cloud.

The mind seems to wander,

When words are never said out loud.

Wish I would have spread them,

Looked inside to take a peek.

Seeing what was hidden there,

Would have changed these words I speak.

Guess that I was blinded ,

By shades of grey and white .

What I thought was hidden there

Found to late I wasn't right

But I would not listen,

My pride got in my way .

Thinking something different ,

It made you flee away.

Do I dare again now,

To gaze up to the sky?

There my not be clouds there

But I'll feel raindrops in my eyes.

So if you ever think of me,

I hope within your heart.

Things may have been different,

If I had torn those clouds apart.

A wistful afterthought, I do believe. Nice!
