EMPTIED ALL MY TEARS

EMPTIED ALL MY TEARS

A Poem by DONALD EISSLER
"

CRYING LIKE A CLOUD

"

EMPTIED ALL MY TEARS

Stepped outside this morning
Was not a cloud in sight?
The sky was ever changing
As the sun took over night

Yesterday was different
Clouds were in the way,
Some were even crying
To wash their blues away

Is it not much different?
Than tears shed from you or I
Only thing that’s altered
They’re not falling from the sky.

When a cloud is crying
Tears are never shed in vain,
Always giving life
Rarely causing pain.

Wish that you and I
Both could see it through,
For when I saw crying
Hurt me as much as you.

Don’t think you really knew
How your love I did embrace
Now, like the weeping cloud
All traces are erased.

I am the one no longer
Who brings rainbows to your eyes.
Seems now clouds do cover
See how they hide the azure sky.

Is it that you where hiding
Like the sun behind the cloud
Words that were in your heart
You never said out loud

Why it took so long
To surface from your heart
If you told me sooner
Clouds did not have to play a part.

Much like that misty cloud
The mountain it does it fear
I cried aimless raindrops
And have emptied all my tears.

THE TARNISHED KNIGHT

Sometimes it's good to empty yourself of your tears...cleanse yourself...inside out...then maybe...just maybe...things will look clearer...great write as usual sweet Don!

that choked me up as I read it, such a mournful feeling to it. So final, Beautifully written out, and superbly expressed. I enjoyed :)
