MY LIFE IS LIKE A TORNADO AND I'M LIVING IN A TRAILER PARKA Poem by DONALD EISSLERThe title tells it all!!!!!!
My life seems like a tornado,
And I'm living in a trailer park. Like that damn tornado, You have torn my heart apart. Tried to put the pieces back together, As they lay spread upon the soil. Some will be forever missing, No matter how much I do toil. I look back and remember, When our two hearts beat as one. Then came that terrible wind. And I knew that we were done. It came on rather suddenly. No warning did I hear. Just a terrible rumbling, Then I knew the wind was near. I tried to run for cover, As the sky grew gray and dark. There was nothing I could do, When that twister began to start. Blamed it on the raindrops, As a tear flowed down my cheek. Did not want you to know, That my hurting heart was weak So I smiled and said “That's alright” And that I really understood. Wished you luck with your new love. Words said I thought I never would. So now the whirling twister, Has left its debris behind. Scattered another broken heart, With pieces that I'll never find. © 2011 DONALD EISSLERAuthor's Note
