Never even seen you,

Don’t know who you are.

But I know you’re out there somewhere,

Whether you are near or far.

 

Might already know you,

Just might be your friend.

I might even love you,

But even in the end

 

It never really mattered

Cause you’re out there, made for me.

My soul mate, lover, custom-tailored

Compatible to me.

 

You’re out there, fighting teenage woes,

Teenage fears, teenage throes.

You feel the pain, the test, the trial,

As do I, apart a mile

 

From the person made for me,

To unite eternally.

If you’re reading this, aware

That someone, somewhere far out there

 

Is your own girl or guy, struggling

To get ahead in this teen life,

Aware your person waits for you,

Even amidst strife,

 

Then wait for them.

Save yourself from

Heartache, heartbreak, consequence.

Please, oh PLEASE don’t do something dumb.
