Hearing a reference to a brand of transportation and thinking of a different species

Randomly talking to someone because it looked like you could relate to them

Having unorthodox views on varying social topics

Decorating your notebook in a manner that gets questions

 

Questions you don’t want to know the answer to

A longing for something that’ll never happen

Glances stolen from across a crowded room

Evenings you wish were enchanted enough to upset the status quo

Subtle body language hints thrown at a thoroughly unresponsive target

 

The long bus trips and seeing fellow groups on their own turf

The roaring crowds, fun shows, and admiration from fellow groups

The perfect, ideal combination of the two

The aggravation of non-uniform hair out of the spiffeh hats

The bonding that takes place over the course of a season

 

Astounding fellow members with your almost-perfect Soulja Boy-age

Getting a jaw drop from an intelligent jock during homecoming

Unconsciously plotting ways to cheat the system

RolePlaying ideal social situations with a friend over IM

Mentally giving kudos to a person that wears amazing T-shirts that you ‘get’ now

 

Infatuation over said person for their intelligence and ability to relate

Internal disturbance over familiar evil and novel unknown

Indecision due to “not having a chance with” either variable

Irritation at a lack of action, like life’s like a movie

Inexperience in a matter best left to experts

 

The desire to learn a new instrument for a more even sound blend

The social upheavals that occur during basketball games

The knowing the harmony to popular songs because your instrument doesn’t play melody

The freaking out of the few members of the opposite gender during sectionals

The writing of alternate lyrics to correlate with your hobby/obsession/life

 

Using unique adjectives in interesting documents such as the above (and below)

Reciting various plays/shows/dialogues you’ve picked up on over the years

Craving the purchase of a t-shirt that’ll earn you 250 Geek Points

FREAKING OUT THAT YOUR SIZE IS NOW IN STOCK OMGosh

Concocting (in theory) a cocktail of chemicals that simulate the sensation of infatuation

 

Daydreams about obtaining said ingredients and using them on crush of choice

Partial belief that even that wouldn’t work against your most formidable love

Listlessness caused by the memory of all your unrequited loves over the years
