Points Of View
Love
Love’s like swimming, it feels great but rarely lasts. Until you get good at it, love’s not worth your time. Try sticking to something that doesn’t obsess you into writing stupid poems and documents, like boxing or bussing tables.
Love is illogical. It’s brought on by hormones, let loose by hope, and fueled by the desires of the time. You’re not gonna find ‘the one’, wait until you and people your age mature enough to be in a stable relationship.
Love’s a part of our everyday lives; you’re not gonna get rid of it, at least not until your teen years are over. It’s nice if you’re willing to take the risks. Who knows, some people marry the cute classmate they met in high school.
Love adds flavor to life. It gives you something to waste your time thinking about, and it lets you have something to analyze. But if you’re not careful and word gets out, be prepared for a lot of “Aww, that’s so sweet!”-ing.
Love’s pointless. You see someone, you spend a lot of time around them, you grow fond of them and skim over their bad qualities, you let them know how you feel, they reject you, you keep hoping, you see them less, and the cycle starts over again.
“Love. You’re better off without it, I’m better off without mine. This vessel… I give, she takes…”
