I Do Not Write by Writing

I Do Not Write by Writing…

Original Composition by: VICTORIA C. UY

I do not write by writing,

I know of a thing even better

A thing more fun and exciting

Than staring on blank paper

I do not write by writing,

I stare out the window and drive

While the skies are quietly observing

And the clouds follow my vibe

I do not write by writing,

I listen to a voice louder,

Than actions or wordings

Creativity gives me such power

I do not write by writing,

I dream of parallel lands and such

I find other cultures interesting

And fun can never be too much

I do not write by writing,

I experiment with my hypothesis

With guessing and testing

A wild knowledge’s kiss

I do not write by writing

I paint worlds red, yellow and blue

A rainbow gently sprouting

On a dimly-lit sky with no hue

I do not write by writing

I add, subtract and multiply

But I won’t forget dividing

All the blessings that are coming by

I do not write by writing

I travel steps back in time

Where I go reminiscing

As unflustered clocks chime

I shall not write by writing,

No, I simply can not

Focus on only one thing

And let the others rot

There has been confusion over the last stanza when I presented it at the Linkage. It's a sentence. "No, I simply can not focus on only one thing and let the others rot."
