Government Claim

Government Claim

A Poem by Aramey
"

A Purge

"
You, who think you understand,
while others suffer at your quaking hand,
the tears of strangers mean nothing to you,
whose fingers bleed crimson, telling stories of truth.

Your government claim on humanity's soul,
breaking and bending the people you hold,
twisting the lies as you see fit
as they corkscrew into the minds of all others "unfit."

God forbid, that we could decide for ourselves,
without your intervention of such venomous mouths,
you who decide what our hearts feel,
while the children of the world are suffocated behind bars of steel.

Can't you hear the blanket covered screams,
while you stuff it further to silence their dreams?
Forget these unjust fabrications, you think you know,
rest your rotten claim from the innocents you broke.
