ChoicesA Poem by ArameyGetting the gears moving with a little musical inspiration.
Feeling the sting of slight of hand,
one who dares to hunger still, moved from the sun into mark of a man, and doomed to desire things unfulfilled. Apathy's ignorance is cruel indeed, and given the choice, he who does naught is cursed, but no such curse exists in those who breathe, and those who hunger, denied of that which they thirst. Choose to ignore as her silence screams, wrapped in a blanket, muffled as they seem, and you will see the day one finds his dreams, in one taken for granted, and her light agleam. But it will not be shining upon your face, as she shall remember your disposition, and all that echoes of you is starvation's taste, soon the blood of your choices will come to apparition. © 2014 Aramey |
