Awaiting the RoadA Poem by Aramey
When shadowed walls echo empty sound,
remember, you will always be my friend. When all feels broken, lost, not to be found, remember that -this- is not the end. Remember that there is no darkness without light, as you have been that light for me in darkest of hours. You were there at every stumble, shining and bright, and you must stand as strong, when the world overpowers. If you could hear the prayers beneath the silence, you'd know just how much we all love you so. If you could feel the support beyond life's violence, you'd know how much we remember, the gifts you've bestowed. None of these things can be thrown away or forgotten, and many will stand behind you, no matter the obstacles in the road. So when the shadowed walls boast coldness and refuse to soften, remember those of us who stand, awaiting the road. © 2014 ArameyFeatured Review
