I Hunger Still

I Hunger Still

A Poem by Aramey

I long to dance, upon the stars...
each breathtaking light,
a stepping stone
to guide my way, through darkened nights,
each heartbreak forgotten,
as I escape the land's desert strife
tiptoeing through with unforgettable might.

I carry with me such intangible desire,
fingertips that long to caress unending fire,
souls like mine, so frail in their passions
easily broken by life's reality, because reality's in fashion,
dreamers are broken, a little more every day,
their slow deaths, like the wind, not remembered,
but fast passed, and frayed.

But still I hunger still, to touch what fate has made impossible,
and against all odds, I reach, unstoppable,

A yearning which can't be bridled, it is but my nature,
to fall, is to fill, but never to be full,
in a world that beckons and heightens such filth,
disguised as love, it smolders, but never means well.

I am but a soul, from another place,
who still seeks truth, not reality's sullen pace,
such wounds are mine, and I splay them proudly,
these wounds are my battle's proof,
of survival, in a lost world, all around me.

I believe the reason you and I relate so well is that the words we write, the words we speak and the words we choose are so closely related in scope - raw, emotional and from the deepest recesses of our hearts, souls and minds. You may not post as often as you want, but you never fail to impress when you do - you speak without limits and put it all on the table without worry as to what others will think of it.

Kudos dear and keep it up.
