Society's Angry QualmsA Poem by Aramey
Have you seen the tempest blow?
As violent tsunami delights in destruction destroying peaceful ebb and flow it's winds, a torrent, pouring through all obstruction. Her winds turn and cull, as if we're only cattle. we ne'er had a chance in this losing battle, spinning round, an angry rapid fire unabashed as we descend toward funeral's pyre.
screaming, panic, her winds of amassed kerfuffle not a soul can hear us, the sound far too muffled But karma is a funny thing... as we're shrouded by her warm, golden wing we stood a sketch of the broken and misused her force had bruised our fragile tissue. And as her winds and waters moved away, we glanced about, not a clue how we were saved. It was then that we knew, 'twasn't a storm at all t'was society's ego, apathy... and their selfish angry qualms. © 2013 Aramey |
