Jealousy

Jealousy

A Poem by Aramey

Standing between the pillars of forever, and grace...
An angel by my side and for once, I feel safe.
So why, my friend, do you stare in such angry distaste?
Have I done something wrong, have I cracked the case?
Or Is it that you want to stand in my place?

And when I ask you the question,
why do you smite honesty's truth in intention?
Your finger points, all directions in sight
just not at yourself, no... because you're always right.

Use complications, hide behind subtle's worst fleeting
cowardice has taken on a whole new meaning.
But do not worry, your secrets are safe,
because unlike... others... I don't feel it's my place.

And while you hope this golden ship sinks into the deep,
all because I have what you seek.
You impossible woman why can't you see?
Happiness is within you too, just like me.
But when you live in denial, you're too blind to receive.
