The Colors Tribute

The Colors Tribute

A Poem by Aramey

Violet sparks open up the night sky
with life,
a kiss of color
overtaking the stress and daily strife.
Who imagined such things
could bring such wild delights?

For well over a decade, and closer to two
even my clever rhythms and rhymes
still can't illustrate
how it feels
to be wrapped
in your brilliant golden hue.

and you're still here, after all this time.
soft spoken words
an undeniable truth...
this runs deeper
than any ocean blue.

Tufts of the softest emerald grass,
as we'll lie there together
someday soon.

Crimson for the color of my beating heart,
as it melts only
for you.
