Swan Dive and Rebirth

Swan Dive and Rebirth

A Poem by Aramey

The windows of a once enduring soul
extracts me, critically spinning
cataclysm of self control
blessed veil, fast thinning.
I feel it spreading, what only I behold
a sharp inhale and I catch you grinning.

Serpentine spiral of madness
standing at the craggy edge
of a bruised, forgotten sadness.
My toes slide across the ledge
and I let go, fading into blackness.

Arms reaching, spreading wide
as the atmosphere rushes past.
Droplets of the sun, the heavens cry
memory's aching, arching blast
bursting into flames... rise, to an ashen sigh.
regenerating until each black fleck is amassed.
