Greed, Entitlement, and PrideA Poem by ArameyFor a contest
Signal flares
of crisp white passing each star surging through, mid flight. Earthly cares fall away replaced by surfacing delight. Given the chance I would ne'er peer back
at the shady souls with constant heart attacks save a few... who shimmer even in pitch black. My thoughts interrupted by blinding illumination. I'm brought careening into a whole new nation kissed by the unending shroud of eternal salvation. The pearled gates stand open wide and I'm pulled in, as the moon does the tide. There are two golden archers standing, guarding, one on each side. stance as stone and waiting for the invasion of greed, entitlement, and pride. © 2013 ArameyReviews
