Grey

Grey

A Poem by Aramey

In the wake of devastation
I was sent an invitation
the sunlight held my hand
echoing the body of a man

My world molded around
the feeling that shook the ground
... and I fell down
tearing the lace in my gown.

I found myself trembling
with empty winters assembling
no one could see the pain
and here I go... again

Back to the battlefield of stride
where my heart and mind collide
the demons claw their way
I don't want them to claim me, again today...

I don't want them to take me
no... not this way
I'm trying to cling to my belief
even as the skies... change to grey.

You are indeed a bard. I am more of a story teller. You have that unique imaginative style that is needed here at this site.
