The Serenity of Horses

The Serenity of Horses

A Poem by Aramey

The darkness shifts and opens wide
a subtle movement
under a moonlit sky
nothing else feels quite
so right
soft hooves
combine with the earth, under
when movements quicken
sounds... like rolling thunder
this, is where freedom lives
demons locked away
and the past, forgives
the bond of quiescent predator
and prey
on the winds of a feather
and the truest meaning, of home.

Where freedom lives; you are on point with this escape from the madening race. Everyone should be required to develope a raport with a horse, as part of their upbringing. If you click on my picture of the horse, it will enlarge. then you will see a horse made from driftwood.

This whispers of such peace mingled with power. There is an enchanted bliss when horse and rider become one. Serenity... so few ever experience it anymore.

we always go back to what we escape...to sometimes escape what we took with us. And sometimes to sit and cry.
