Disarming My Iron HeartA Poem by Arameysimply an expanded thought :) Image source: http://januine.deviantart.com/art/Barbed-Wire-Heart-Reprise-170231635
The threads of life have always
terrified me as I wandered aimless... from place to empty place trying to breathe under a blanket covered scream clouded vision blurring the scene why is my own shadow so startling hiding running a broken record this cycle of unyielding... retreat you disarm my iron heart so easily... Running through my traps of barbed wire and sharp abandon like it was only an illusion, designed all this time for no one else to get through I though I would wander the world alone, by choice only still bleeding... you say I pulled you from the darkness I say you pulled me from a self-destructive rift a prisoner of my own cage and of an iron heart the none before could tear the hard, cold, metal and chased my fears away....
