The Fall

The Fall

A Poem by Aramey

Run... God speed
on the wings of angels
distance knows no bounds
and haste no limitations
I can hear it behind me
the footsteps closing in
this can't happen again
a scream!
a deafening thud
capture
and I fall
... down
tumbling to the bottomless abyss
time stops, what is this?
silken warmth, sunshine, calm...
sadistic trickery?
strangeness flowing into me
but it feels so
good~
mending my broken
heart
threading the pieces
back together
and finally, slowly
our eyes meet,
and it starts...
