Hands Unwilling

Hands Unwilling

A Poem by Aramey

You came to me, my darkest hour
showing me how love devour
with my back against a concrete wall
I had no choice but plummet, and fall.

Against your flesh, my heart grew cold
but I did not falter of future untold
I failed to reach for hands unwilling
reaching for them was far too chilling.

Now I stand away from you
there wasn't any, I could do
when your hands held out for mine
a vicious battle, all in good time

Angels wept as I stood fast
refusing to move, holding the past
your lips that brought me to my knees
is now a prison, and my disease.

I wander the earth, a jaded soul
the chains, still taking their unexpected hold
forgiveness is won in time, they say
it lies in the wake of the darkest days.

Such a deep emotion here, Aramey...and it always dismays when men act in this way of taking...very well expressed.

I'm glad to hear, Aramey...and you are very welcome my dear friend. :)
I see your writing is still as brilliant as ever. I've been MIA on the cafe for a while now, dealing with life, the universe, everything. I find my solace on here yet again and tend to gravitate here when I'm in my dark hour.

Very strong poem as well as strongly worded. I've really missed your writing and am so happy to see you continue it. You have such talent my dear. Take care and keep them coming!

Writing poetry is so cleansing, isn't it?
