The Man

The Man

A Poem by Doug Johnson
"

This is just yet another poem that I don't understand at all. It is mine, but that doesn't mean I know what I was thinking when I wrote it.

"

I am the man that never smiles

Never laughs, never cries

Never sings or sobs

Never lives.

I am the man in the shadows

In the darkness

In the caves, the caverns

And in the silence

I am the man that never knows

Never understands

Never hears

The man in the dark

I am the waiting man

The watching

Ever present, ever ready

Simply waiting, waiting and watching

Some never see things the same way

Some never know my perspective

Some are hidden in their own worlds

And never see those of others

I am the man that sees it all

I am the man that knows

Knowing only the things he shouldn’t

Seeing only the grass that doesn’t grow.

I am the man on the wall

The watcher in the night

The protection of the people

The silent guard with only one small light

I am the man that you never see

I am the man that waits

I am the man that nobody knows

But I am also the man that is always there

That was really good! Not understand what you're writing at the time can sometimes make the best writing of all. :) I cant tell that you are a very good writer, and I'm looking forward to reading more from you. If you don't mind can you check out some of my writing. I'm fairly new writing and this site, but i hope to get some views.

I'm a teenager that loves writing. It's as simple as that. It would be nice to make a career of it, but it mostly just makes me happy. more..
