To Hell and BackA Poem by A. Hannah
Desheveled and silent.
The morning light shining through. Curls and twists, in rats nest loops. Softly sighing and rising in rhythm. In rhyme, your heartbeats with mine. Oh my Heart! Oh, my Soul! My life saver and light bringer... Before... Heavy darkened tempests, Raged around me for five years! Sapphire roaring... On a swollen, mocked finger. My scars invisible, sometimes still bleed. Unknowingly, Unwanted, Unforeseen. Then emptied, drained. Gone was the all mighty, Gone was the judge, The jury, My Executioner. Alone it was quiet, I could move.. Slowly I found the numbness of the devil, slipping away, losing grip on my soul.... No longer bound and chained to him. How the righteous did scorn the decision I made for FREEDOM!!!! Yet in you I found my breath. In you I found my courage In you, I, found a reason to THRIVE!!! Arms raised high and NOT JUST SURVIVE! He... Quells my anger, Holds me tight, Whispers I love you, Within him, I know it's true.. © 2017 A. HannahAuthor's Note
