Mother Dear.A Poem by A. HannahA tribute, enjoy.
A pink, pale ribbon sweeping through the air
A soft sweet breeze caressing the satin silk That wind which took you that cool crisp mourning Truly was the wind beneath your wings. That soft halo of auburn hair, Eyeliner drawing focus to hazel eyes An overseas accent that refused to fade You were, you are, and forever will be MOM My childhood fear became my reality The sweetest woman on earth Slipped away through half Clasped eyelids with a small Drop of life sliding down The cells, the monsters, demons crawled Through you veins, you tissue, your mind And all the while you kept on a smile While internally screaming inside Facing death with middle finger raised high Fight until your very last breath The lessons in life you gave me Will take me far as you observe Those Snow White wingspans Have been earned by love. © 2017 A.
