Initials In An Apple Tree

Initials In An Apple Tree

A Poem by Nicholas Butler Everett
"

I wrote this poem when my girlfriend and I celebrated our anniversary!

"

Thinking of you and thinking of me,
I've carved our initials in an apple tree.

It means more to me than what you see,
There's a reason I chose this tree, you see,

Though many relationships get the boot,
I pray that ours will always bare fruit!

I pray we are productive all the way,
And God will bless us from day to day!

Where others fail, I know we'll soar,
When they are stuck, there's our open door!

I know His favor will never cease,
All I see is overflow and increase!

So when others are puzzled by what they see,
I'll say "God carved our initials in an apple tree"!

Absolutley loved these lines, soo cute.
Your rhyming is very good and it's such a sweet idea.
I simply loved this and I'm sure she must have, too :)
