Kaisaka SaikoroA Chapter by ANewAgeOfSkiesThe demon lord, Kaisaka, has arrived in the world from the first chapter! What will happen to her?
Kaisaka looked into the sky and bathed in the sun's warmth. She could not remember the last few hours of her life, but she knew what she had to do now. Rain clouds gathered close gradually. Shelter could be seen in a small building. Kaisaka walked closer and noticed that it was a dojo. The place looked run down and broken. It was as if some samurais were having a war in the one, small building. That could have been possible though. It was a place where people could fight. There were many holes in the wall. It looked like some ogre came in and wrecked the entire building. The area was practically ruins.
There was a faint stench in the main room. Also, a depressing atmosphere wrapped around the air like a blanket. Kaisaka walked to the back of the building. There was a small room with no doors. It looked like an office. This place was also torn to shreds with ripped papers on the ground and a broken clock sitting in a torn up chair. One of the doors that were unhinged from the doorway leaned on top of a desk that, for some odd reason, seemed to be undamaged. One of the drawers was opened, and a single letter, neatly tucked into a faint blue envelope, sat there peacefully. Kaisaka could hear mumbling outside. The noise grew louder and more clear as seconds past. There were people coming, a lot of people. Kaisaka tried to avoid being caught trespassing. She thought this was a dojo that no one had come to in years. She turned to the back, where there was an opening to the outside. Before she could even get outside, a tall man stepped in front of her. He was fat enough to outrun easily, but Kaisaka didn't even have a chance to run because the man trapped her in a bear hug. Kaisaka could feel the grease and sweat on him, smell the onions stench of his body. She felt as if she was going to vomit, but she couldn't even do that. She was to focused on what would happen to her. Kaisaka elbowed the man in the right rib. After catching him off guard, she didn't hesitate to jab him in the gut. She backed up a few steps and then ran forward, flipped over the man, and held on to his head so his neck would snap when she landed. Then, she dashed outside and was stopped again. This time by a young woman, most likely in her twenties. She was thin and had blond hair. The atmosphere around her was bright and she seemed so radiant, but Kaisaka knew she was the enemy. She could just tell. The woman's words confirmed her hypothesis. "I see...that you're a demon,"she stated, "with a troubling past. I know who you really are." Kaisaka had no idea what she was talking about. She knew she forgot her past, but she also knew that it had to be for a reason. The woman looked at her with glaring eyes now and kept repeating that Kaisaka was a goddess and was the one who they were looking for. The others came from behind. It was a huge group of people. No, not people, but more like demons. Kaisaka's sight went dark suddenly and she couldn't move. When she woke up, she was behind bars. There were other cells lined up next to hers and another row of them from across the hallway. She stood up and leaned close to the cold, metal bars. She tried to look down the hallway on both sides, but each side only showed more rows of cells. Kaisaka looked into the cell in front of her. There was a man inside, fighting. Not fighting anyone, but just training. Two guards came down and shoved a bag of food into each cell they passed. Normally, most people would ask where they were or what happened to them, but Kaisaka only had one question. How would she escape this prison? Kaisaka focused on the man across from her again. He ignored the food shoved into his cell. Kaisaka on the other hand shoved it right back out of her cell. "Why are you training,"she asked the man, "What for?" The man looked at her with deep purple eyes. They were practically staring at her soul, but they seemed empty, lonely, angered, all at the same time. She understood completely from his stare and he could tell that she did. He was training to escape. Kaisaka made that her top priority as well. "Then, let's help each other out," she said calmly, casually. "Koji," Kaisaka looked up at him, "my name is Koji." "My name is Kaisaka," she smiled. A guard came down the hallway. "Hey, you," he pointed towards Kaisaka, "Your to see the boss." Then, he opened her cell... © 2013 ANewAgeOfSkiesAuthor's Note
