VOID ABODEA Poem by Anushka Saha
"This is a poem personifying the perception of death by human beings, by the first person dialogue, here the place(abode) we reach after death is calling himself a shapeshifter that changes from void to a physical space with the help of our insight that we weave in our mind. We reach a hollow sphere which manifests according to our own exclusive perception."
Void Abode The hollow realm from where I decipher, Smirking at light I relish my desires. A nadir, where born lustily from your fears, Uncloak me, the day you are prey to my own center.
The land of mystery you acclaim, Verses about me to earn feigning fame Ostentatious you portray my void entrance, Little did you know, I am a creation of your puny little brain.
A vacuumed arena; made freshly from your poetic pen, Some call me darkness, well rest just mayhem’s den. Scenic zeal I fill your heart with. Burning pyres, silent acres, howling souls and myriad sinners.
A corked azure decanter resembles the land I reside. Brimming at its edges with your conscience’s insight, Alas you would know your death leads me not, A land in solitary you reach, born from your own thoughts.
Fragmented into motes you christen me, as an eternal puzzle. Little did you realize my nation’s, eerily barren. Painted imagery you opt from the superfluous conscience, Fear not - am a canvas; unique to your own perseverance. © 2016 Anushka SahaFeatured Review
