  • While speaking at the protest, TMC secretary-general Partha Chatterjee claimed that all public sector units are in danger of privatization under the present BJP govt at the Centre. 
  • Chatterjee said, "Indian Railways is being privatized and attempts are also being made to privatize the coal mines."
  • He claimed, "BJP at the Centre was taking anti-people decisions and increasing prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and cooking gas, thus putting the common man into more hardship."
