  • According to an official statement, Vardhaman Apartment in east Delhi is the second containment zone to be de-sealed by the govt.
  • The first one was Mansara Apartment, which is also in East Delhi.
  • The statement said that this was possible after the successful implementation of Delhi govt's operation SHIELD.
  • Operation SHIELD stands for Sealing, Home quarantine, Isolation and tracking, Essential supply, Local sanitization, and Door-to-door checking.
