radiohead induced writing vomit.

radiohead induced writing vomit.

A Poem by Al M.
"

This is what happens when you put Radiohead's "Gagging Order" on repeat without taking off your headphones or editing. I'd like to challenge everyone to do the same and see what comes from it.

"

a sink full of dishes.  an empty chair.  a double bed with one person in it.

say what you see.

black coffee shouldn't make you want to cry.

nothing should make you want to cry;

it should be an involuntary action...

like bleeding when you bite your tongue.

like getting tan in the sun.

like forgetting your dreams.

my teeth hurt when I see you smile.

my heart breaks every time you leave the room.

I've never hated myself as much as when you walk away.

I'd never actually loved myself until I met you.

You're a comma in the longest sentence ever written,

a chance to catch my breath and let my heart catch up with my brain.

I love you.

I love you.

Sit with me for one more drink.

Don't go to bed so soon.

Because you and I both know that soon becomes now very quickly,

and soon we will be old, wrinkled, grey and painfully self-aware.

I hate facts.

More radiohead induced: this time to "Bloom"
she's dead.

the minister made his speech.

the next year the son brought flowers to the grave.

the next year the husband remarried.

the next year the oldest son died.

the next year they turned the park into a grocery store.

then more years happened and the one boy had kids.

then the world ended and nobody minded all that much.
