Pushed down No Longer

Pushed down No Longer

A Poem by AMacabreDream

I'm sick of being pushed down,

like my hopes and dreams are only trifles.

I don't feel like lying on the floor,

and crying again.

So this time I'll get up,

I'll push myself to my feet despite the pain

and when you go to push me down again,

I'll push back.

I'll fight my way through this life,

I'll claw and climb my way up.

Just so one day I can look down

on you.

And when that day comes

know this:

I've beaten you this time;

prepare to be pushed.
