One Stoplight Town

One Stoplight Town

A Poem by AMMD

Memories lingering
much like molecules
trapped
in stagnant water
nothing growing
flowing
compressed
like the
Darkness of
a vacuum
an insidious
and ominous
black hole
unwilling to
let light leave
at best
a clever enigma
too dark to grasp
no unsolved mysteries
a multiverse of
the downward pull
of gravity
the dead end
of a one
stoplight town

This is quite interesting, it seems having one stoplight in town isn't great. It's a black hole, and no light ever seems to come through. I wonder how the traffic is in this town, because there's one stoplight, does anyone ever drive because of this everlasting darkness?
