I Wonder what Dickinson Thought

I Wonder what Dickinson Thought

A Poem by AMMD

I wonder what Dickinson thought
when told her writing was awful

Shy girl filled with a universe
of words to contemplate the world

I wonder who judged her
but can imagine his motives

She didn't realize her talent
or know that it threatened his

Perhaps it was a divine gift
the best are taken too soon
