My sentiments exactly. Truth is everything. It's hard to pin that down, though, many people love to live in grey shadows, and call that: truth. A great deal of wisdom here, all of which feels true and right but one verse popped out and threw its arms around me: "A sandcastle cannot withstand the ocean waves/
Nor can a relation built on lies" ...
I've heard other versions of this metaphor before but this was clear, and crisp. But it was your finale that slew me, I think. Those last 7 verses came down on those who have no respect for truth like a forged magical sword, on not only the Dragon of lies, but also the deluder/con man/ –– woman, riding on its back.
"lies/ words dressed in glamorous clothes"
that is unique phrasing, Ambra..
you take a common subject of breaking trust and turn it into an amazing poem with so may great images and metaphors...
excellent piece...if i did favorites, this would go in.

Thanks so much Jacob, I appreciate your comment very much.
This is very profound - in your word choice and their deep meaning. The poem itself is visually appealing. I have been on this Earth a while and there is little worse than being lied to. There is never any good in it and it does always seem to be discovered. We can soften a blow or we can not tell the whole truth but a lie is hurtful "words dressed in glamorous clothes" very good write :)
