The self-proclaimed God’s followers

Chastity and purity vows penned on Catholic scrolls

Red ink surging from falsely signed oaths 

The crying of babies smothered before it could fill the air

Tiny bodies entombed 

Too fragile to defend themselves from the cowards concealing their sexual acts in confessionals and convents 

Paedophilia hides behind many priests

When they are exposed, the Catholic Church quickly intervenes 

Sending his perverts in regions faraway

Because its dumb followers turn a blind eye

The unlawful privilege given to Catholic priests

The self- proclaimed God’s witnesses

Door to door, preaching the “good news”

Preaching God’s compassion and love

Their arrogant belief won’t tell you when they knock on your door

ONLY they will be saved by God

Trained on how to ask questions and use your words

Sending monthly reports to the headquarters in their countries and New York

Every preaching hour

Every book

Every magazine 

Every study they give

Is this about God’s love or marketing?

Resembling an abusive relationship

Lured in with kindness and love

Until prohibitions day comes

Mind controlling has just began

The power of those who put themselves in charge fuelled by fanatics with no free will

I have no respect for these sins.

I was raised in the Catholic Church but could never believe in what it was about… it always seems money was more important than spirituality… you are spot on about the so called religion and the people who hide be hid their titles for their own greed and depravity.

I'm Catholic and I too am appalled by the horrendous actions of those priests. They should be excommunicated and put in jail. Hopefully more drastic measures will be taken to prevent such terrible crimes from occurring. Children are such precious gifts, and to harm one is a terrible, terrible sin. I hope though, that people will realize that not all priests are bad, and that what those 'priests' did is NOT what the Catholic Church teaches, rather, it is those who are in power.

good rant, needs a bit of editing, but powerful and so damn true...i have written on this topic several times because i was raised catholic and was an altar boy....and it just frightens me what has so often happened and at the same time been shoved under the rug by the church.

hard to feel comfortable with that situation.

Damn powerful! I like a good social commentary and courage to do so...so much corruption and no-one wants to believe it - they don't want to believe that these things happen on their own doorsteps and that fear mongering and mind control are a massive part of it...well voiced x
