Vain Love

Vain Love

A Poem by Ambra Celeste

Vain Love
I wrap people around my little finger
I can do what I like
I click my fingers and you come running
My desires are your commands
I am the Goddess on your pedestal
I am the Empress of your reign
My graceful lies you’ll believe
My sweet deception you’ll forgive
I am Cupid’s poisoned arrow
I am Snow-white’s deadly apple
You are destined to walk my path
You will not escape my trap
With my kisses I will control, your heart, mind and soul
You have now snapped the chains that enticed you to raw pain
I used to be your only one and now I am no-one.
